To enroll through the Marketplace you generally need to be lawfully present in the United States and not have access to other qualifying coverage. Starting with coverage that begins in January, financial help is limited to citizens, green card holders, Cuban and Haitian entrants and Compact of Free Association migrants; others, such as people with TPS, asylum or certain visas, pay full price. Open Enrollment for the coming plan year runs Nov 1 – Jan 15. Outside that window you can enroll if a qualifying life event opens a Special Enrollment Period, for example a move, marriage, new baby or loss of other coverage.
